PURPOSE: An optical semiconductor based illuminating apparatus is provided to have a suitable structure for cooling a power supply positioned in a housing and to have an appropriate structure for rapidly dissipating heat generated in the housing using a heat dissipating unit for a light emitting module and a SMPS(Switching Mode Power Supply) in the housing. CONSTITUTION: An optical semiconductor based illuminating apparatus includes a housing(20) having an air inlet damper in one side, more than one semiconductor optical element(16), a light emitting module(10) installed in an open area of a different side of the housing, a power supply arranged in the housing for supplying power to the light emitting module, and a cooling fan arranged to send down heat generated in the power supply. |
