<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with excellent discharge performance at large current, with less degradation of charge and discharge cycle characteristics, and cost reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery is provided with a cathode 1, an anode 2, nonaqueous electrolyte containing lithium salt and a separator 3 partitioning the cathode 1 and the anode 2. Cathode active material volume per unit area of the cathode 1, when its thickness is 3.0 mm, is 210 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>, and anode active material volume per unit area of the anode 2, when its thickness is 1.5 mm, is 95 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
