PURPOSE: A utility pole management apparatus and a method thereof are provided to efficiently manage information about a utility pole, information about equipment installed at the utility pole, and the status of inspection by staffs. CONSTITUTION: A utility pole management apparatus(100) comprises a near field wireless communication module(140), a display unit(110), a key input unit(130), and a control unit(120). When a terminal(200) is within the range of communicating with the near field wireless communication module, the apparatus transmits first utility pole information to the terminal(S11) using the near field wireless communication module. The terminal transmits the received first utility pole information to a management server(300)(S12). The management server compares the first utility pole information to second utility pole information(S13). If any difference exists, the management server transmits the second utility pole information to the terminal(S14), and the field wireless communication module receives the second utility pole information, which is updated information, through the terminal(S15). The near field wireless communication module receives the utility pole information and saves the second utility pole information in a memory unit(S16). The control unit controls the display unit to display the second utility pole information(S17).
