<p>PURPOSE: A direct printing method and a device thereof are provided to prevent a situation in which data including characters expressed in two bytes is not properly printed. CONSTITUTION: A communication interface unit(210) receives printing data encoded in a first encoding method. A first determining unit(221) determines whether the printing data includes a character expressed in two bytes. If the printing data includes the character expressed in two bytes, a converting unit(222) converts the first encoding method into a second encoding method. When the printing data is converted, a command generating unit(225) generates a command for parsing the printing data by two byte units and adds the command to the converted printing data.
