PURPOSE: A tuner and a driving method thereof are provided to avoid manual switching of an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) for user convenience. CONSTITUTION: A signal of an antenna is inputted to an auxiliary circuit(270). An LNA(200) is connected to output of the auxiliary circuit. An RF amplifying circuit(210) amplifies signals filtered by the LNA. An MOPLL(Mixer Oscillator Phase Locked Loop)(220) synchronizes the amplified signals with intermediate frequency signals. A GPIO(General Purpose Input/Output) pin(225) is connected to a port unit. The port unit determines whether a signal is a strong electric field signal or a weak electric field signal.
