<p>The invention relates to stepladders used in repair and construction work. The design makes it possible to increase the stability of the ladder in the working state and in the folded state and to increase the reliability in use. The stepladder comprises: a ladder section consisting of two legs connected by steps, while in the upper part said legs are connected by a crosspiece; and a support section consisting of two legs which are fixedly connected to one another by crosspieces; a working platform, which is connected to the legs of the ladder section; and a mechanism for fixing the ladder section and the support section to one another. The legs of the ladder and support sections are curved with an increase in the width of the legs towards the base of the ladder. The legs of the ladder section and the legs of the support section are connected by means of rounded hollows formed in the legs of the ladder section which combine with caps of the support legs in such a way as to be capable of moving relative to one another and as to form a gap between the hollow and the cap. In the central part of the hollow, a notch is formed for fixing a pin located on the cap. Plates for fixing on the upper crosspiece of the legs of the support section are attached on the lower side of the working platform at a distance from one another.</p> |
