<p>This temporary retention section (30) for paper sheets (59) such as banknotes has two storage/feed-out sections (36, 37). One storage/feed-out section (36) has two band-shaped films (38, 39), two holding rollers (41, 42) that respectively hold the films (38, 39), and one reel-in drum (43) that overlappingly reels in or feeds out the films (38, 39). Similarly, the other storage/feed-out section (37) has two band-shaped films (46, 47), two holding rollers (48, 49), and one reel-in drum (51). The two storage/feed-out sections (36, 37) cooperatively sandwich both edges (60) of paper sheets (59) between the upper films (38, 46) and the lower films (39, 47), and reel in the paper sheets (59) to the drums (43, 51) or feed out the paper sheets (59) from the drums (43, 51). Wrinkled or creased banknotes are also stored at the temporary retention section (30) without problems.</p> |
