PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that reduces operational load of fingers in intuitive operational input and is easy to operate.

SOLUTION: The information processing device according to the present technology comprises: an operation determination unit for determining whether input of tap operation has been made or not, on the basis of a detection signal from a detection unit which detects tactile contact of an operating body with respect to a tactile contact detection surface disposed at a position where visual observation is impossible at the time of user's operation; and an event issuing unit for issuing an event for operating an operational object on the basis of a position where the tap operation has been made when the operation determination unit determines that the tap operation has been made.
