<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power generation system in which a bypass diode in a solar cell panel can be diagnosed easily. <P>SOLUTION: A photovoltaic power generation system 1 comprises solar cell strings 3a, 3b having a bypass diode and generating power by receiving the sunlight, power supplies 12a, 12b for diagnosis which feed a current in the same direction as that during power generation by applying a diagnosis voltage to the solar cell strings 3a, 3b, switches 14a, 14b which make switching as to whether or not the diagnosis voltage is applied to the solar cell strings 3a, 3b, and current detection units 15a, 15b which measure a current flowing through the solar cell strings. The photovoltaic power generation system 1 further includes a control unit 17 which compares the magnitude of a current measured by the current detection units 15a, 15b when the diagnosis voltage is applied with a predetermined diagnostic threshold, and determines as to whether or not the bypass diode is problematic based on the comparison results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
