A cutting apparatus in which a cutting blade and an object to be cut are moved relative to each other based on cutting data set in the apparatus so that the object is out into a desired shape by the cutting blade. The apparatus includes an angle change unit which is configured to change an angle made by the cutting blade and the object. In the apparatus, the angle change unit is configured to change the angle between a first angle during a non-cutting time and a second angle at which the cutting unit is tilted during a cutting time so that the second angle is rendered smaller than the first angle.
