<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in chromaticity affected by thermochromism to accurately detect chromaticity of a patch image. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes an operation unit 180 for setting a type of a recording sheet 110. The image forming apparatus 100 controls a time from when the recording sheet 110 passes fixing units 150 and 160 until when the color of the recording sheet 110 is measured by a color sensor 200 such that effect of thermochromism is reduced on the basis of the details of the setting of the type of the recording sheet 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
