PURPOSE: A soil modifier is provided to suppress the generation of foul odor due to processing fowl droppings and to improve general viable cell count while stably maintaining quality thereof. CONSTITUTION: A soil modifier contains silica calcium or carbonate calcium, fowl droppings, brown rice powder, soybean enzyme decomposition residue, and amino acid. The amount of the amino acid is 0.005-10 parts by weight based on 100.0 parts by weight of the soil modifier containing the silica calcium or carbonate calcium, fowl droppings, brown rice powder, soybean enzyme decomposition residue, and amino acid. The amino acid contains at least one selected from glutamic acid, arginine, asparaginic acid, phenylalanine, or cystine.
