<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered bearing capable of reducing the amount of copper used and lowering production cost, while exhibiting excellent initial running-in characteristics and quietness as well as high durability. <P>SOLUTION: A sintered bearing 1 contains an iron structure and copper structure both being bonded to each other through a low-melting-point metal. A portion or all of the copper structure is formed with flat copper powder, and ferrite phase αFe is used as the iron structure. The bearing 1 is provided with: a base part S2 where the copper content is made uniform; and a surface layer S1 that covers a surface of the base part S2 and whose copper content is larger than that of the base part S2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
