<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which has improved drainage and edge effect through provision of small grooves, having thereby a result of an improved on-ice performance. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is characterized in that its tread surface 1 is provided with a plurality of peripherally directed grooves 2 extending in the tread's circumferential direction, and a plurality of width directed grooves 3 extending in the direction of the width of the tread, while a plurality of blocks 4 are laid out, each including the foregoing peripherally directed grooves, tread's ends, and the foregoing width directed grooves, with the surface of the blocks having amplitudes in the tread's width direction whose amplitude angle is equal to or more than 15° and equal to or less than 45°, whose size being equal to or less than 0.2 times of the width of the groove, while a plurality of small grooves 5 that extend in the tread's circumferential direction are laid out in the tread's width direction for installation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
