The method involves heating a workpiece (7) using an inductor. A concentration cell (9) is provided to concentrate the magnetic field lines (5) generated by the inductor on a specific region of the to-be-heated workpiece. The concentration cell is provided with ferromagnetic component made of ferromagnetic particles. The concentration cell is provided with plastic portion such that ferromagnetic particles are embedded into plastic portion. An independent claim is included for a device for inductive heating of workpiece.
