PURPOSE: A wertpapier packing apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to automatically prevent the packing errors of wertpapiers using the packing device combined with a barcode scanner. CONSTITUTION: A wertpapier packing apparatus is as follows. The sequence bar codes of one or more first wertpapiers are scanned by a first scan module. The scanned first information is transmitted to a control part. A control part determines whether or not a predetermined number of the first wertpapiers are collected according to a predetermined sequence using the first information. If the predetermined number of the wertpapiers is collected by the first sequence, a first banding module bands the first wertpapiers to generate a first stack(S220). A second scan module scans the sequence barcodes of second wertpapiers which are one or more the first stacks. The scanned second information is transmitted to the control part. The control part determines whether or not a predetermined number of the second wertpapiers are collected by a second sequence using the second information.
