<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy method for producing vanadium silicide and vanadium silicide wire instead of a diffusion method represented by a conventional bronze method. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the method for producing vanadium silicide represented by V<SB POS="POST">3+x</SB>Si (wherein, -1.33≤x≤21) in which raw material powders containing vanadium oxide, silicon and aluminum are subjected to a thermit reaction. There is also provided the method for producing a vanadium silicide wire in which the vanadium silicide is crushed and then is filled in a metal pipe for wire drawing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
