PURPOSE: A collision prevention system for a monorail car on a monorail with a curved rail and a method thereof are provided to prevent the collision between monorail cars in advance due to the abnormal overspeeding of the monorail car. CONSTITUTION: A monorail(10) includes at least one branch point(11). The monorail includes at least one curved line region(P1) connected from one point(P) to other point(P2). A vehicle(20a) and an adjacent vehicle(20b) are driven according to wireless communication with a control server. A press end(30) is installed at the entrance of the curved line region.
