A correlation calculation unit (50) obtains correlations among the sequences of signals of the vital signs which have been detected on the basis of each of the captured areas of the body. An identity assessment unit (60), on the basis of the correlations among the sequences of signals of the vital signs which have been detected on the basis of each of the captured areas of the body, assesses whether or not each of the captured areas of the body belongs to the same user.
