The present invention relates to a heat sink (1, 1') of a large area, in which a heat-dissipating body (30, 30') is further provided in its limited space. The method for manufacturing a fin (40) includes the steps of providing a fin (40), cutting the fin (40) to form a foldable piece (42) thereon, folding back the foldable piece (42) to be overlapped on the fin (40) and form an accommodating hole (400), and punching the folded piece (42) and the fin (40) to form two overlapped through-holes (401, 421). The fin (40), the heat-dissipating body (30, 30') and heat pipes (10, 10') are assembled together to obtain the heat sink (1, 1'). Since the fins (40) and the heat-dissipating body (30, 30') dissipate the heat of the heat-generating element (60) simultaneously, the heat-dissipating efficiency of the heat sink (1, 1') can be improved.
