<p>The coolant circuit has a main cooling circuit (2) with a supply line and a return line, where an auxiliary cooling circuit (3) is provided. The supply line is guided to a cooler (6) that is formed by air-to-water heat exchanger. A short-circuit line is controlled based on predetermined parameters, such as in temperature dependent manner. The cooling circuits are controlled by a single rotary slide valve (10) provided as control valve. The cooling circuits are connected together such that their flow rates are changed for the cooler or for a retarder (4) in a defined manner. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a coolant circuit.</p> |
