<p>A method and BSC for controlling frequency hopping in MCPA, comprising:
- receiving a request for allocating a TCH to a channel group,
- associating at least one MCPA to the channel group,
- determining a maximum number of carriers of each MCPA,
- sending a list of frequencies and a HSN which define a hopping sequence,
- assigning a time slot to the TCH and selecting a MAIO,
- determining which frequencies from the hopping sequence, according to the assigned time slot and MAIO, are to be allocated to the MCPA associated with the channel group;
- counting a number of conflicts in the MCPA by checking whether the maximum number of carriers of said MCPA is exceeded in the previous step;
- repeating the process for every frequency of the hopping sequence and MAIO values,
- assigning to the TCH the MAIO with the lowest number of conflicts.</p> |
