A lost child generation prevention system using wireless local communications and a method thereof are provided for a protector terminal and a protection target terminal having only a local area wireless function and a GPS receiving function to transmit and receive information each other. Accordingly, a protector can check the GPS location of a protection target. A protection target terminal operates a GSP(Global Positioning System) module and obtains periodically present GPS location information through a GPS satellite. The protection target terminal attempts to connect with a protector terminal through a wireless local communications module(S607). And the protection target terminal determines whether connection with the protector terminal succeeded in. When the protection target terminal fails in connection with the protector terminal, the protection target terminal outputs a preset alarm message including a warning tone and a protector address(S609). When the protection target terminal succeeds in connection with a protector, the protection target terminal transmits the obtained GPS location information to the protector terminal through the wireless local communications module. |
