PURPOSE: A system for strengthening security of a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to encode information in a mobile terminal of which the security level is changed when the highest access privilege is granted, thereby preventing information leakage. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring unit(101) checks the highest access privilege which is granted to a mobile terminal in relation to the OS(Operating System) of the mobile terminal. Once the granting of the highest access privilege is confirmed, a processor(103) distinguishes first information in the mobile terminal of which the security level is changed, and encodes the first information. The processor changes the security level, and distinguishes user information about user account or authentication as the first information. The processor encodes a file or folder including the first information or an application maintaining the first information, generates second information, and deletes the first information.
