<p>The invention relates to a process for production of microorganism consortium capable of producing methane containing biogas by fermenting a substrate containing at least 75%, preferably at least 90% protein, or highly preferably a protein monosubstrate through adaptation to the substrate, to a consortium containing bacteria obtainable by the process and/or proteolytic bacterium which belongs to the Gammaproteobacteria class; denitrifying bacterium; to cellulolytic, peptide and/or amino acid degrading and/or thiosulfate reducing bacterium that belongs to the Clostridia class, furthermore, to the use of the consortium for fermenting a substrate with high protein content with the production of methane-containing biogas and for enhancing biogas production.</p> |
