METHOD FOR ISOLATING COLLAGEN FROM SEA CUCUMBER

PURPOSE: A method for isolating collagen from sea cucumber is provided to ensure excellent wound healing effect by treating red sea cucumber with an alkaline solution, centrifuging, and treating with pepsin. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating collagen from sea cucumber comprises: a step of treating red sea cucumber with an alkaline solution to remove non-collagenous protein; a step of centrifuging and collecting alkaline-treated residue; and a step of treating the residue with an acid solution and pepsin for 24 hours and 72 hours, respectively.
