<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air cell reducing the internal resistance and a battery pack using the air cells. <P>SOLUTION: An air cell includes: a positive electrode layer; an electrolyte layer laminated on the positive electrode layer; a negative electrode layer laminated on the electrolyte layer; and a conductive fluid tight ventilation layer which is laminated on the positive electrode layer and is positioned at the opposite side of the electrolyte layer relative to the positive electrode layer. A battery pack includes the multiple air cells. The battery pack is provided with a passage which is disposed between the conductive fluid tight ventilation layer in a first air cell and the negative electrode layer in a second air cell located adjacent to the first air cell and allows an oxygen containing gas to circulate.
