PURPOSE: A system and an apparatus for automatically selecting a channel, and a method therefor are provided to watch a target broadcasting channel by automatically selecting the same broadcast channel regardless of a photographed broadcast image included an ID code. CONSTITUTION: An auto channel tuning apparatus(100) transmits a channel tuning support request signal to a channel tuning support apparatus(200). According to the channel selection information of the channel tuning support apparatus, the channel automatic tuning apparatus selects the same channel by a broadcast image of the channel tuning support request signal. The auto channel tuning apparatus indexes the broadcast image of each channel. The auto channel tuning apparatus determines the channel of the broadcast image.
