<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide device, method, and program for voice processing, capable of suppressing occurrence of an echo or howling with reduced manufacturing cost, when a plurality of voice processing devices are used by interconnection. <P>SOLUTION: A voice processing device 10 communicates with other voice processing devices 10 to determine the timing of outputting a test sound. At the identified timing, the voice processing device 10 sequentially outputs test sounds from a speaker with predetermined sound volume. A voice processing device 11 receives test sounds transmitted from voice processing devices 12, 13, to identify received volume and each incoming direction. If the received volume when receiving the test sound transmitted from the voice processing device 12 is a predetermined value or larger, the voice processing device 11 attenuates reception sensitivity in the incoming direction associated with the disposition direction of the voice processing device 12 among microphones.
