<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by an inkjet recording capable of forming a high quality image upon printing on both sides, having superior effect of suppressing the curling, and enabling high speed output, and to provide an inkjet image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method has a step of applying an inkjet treatment liquid on media 10, and an image forming step (B) by the inkjet recording that discharges ink and forms an image on the applied media. In the method, the treatment liquid contains at least water and a water-soluble organic solvent. The image forming step (B) by the inkjet recording includes a first image forming step (B1) of forming the image on one surface, and a second image forming step (B2) as an arbitrary image forming step of forming the image on the other surface as desired.
