<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element which is excellent in durability and is capable of exhibiting sufficient photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The organic photoelectric conversion element of the present invention includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer existing between the first electrode and the second electrode and containing an n-type organic semiconductor and a p-type organic semiconductor, and a hole transport layer existing between the first electrode or the second electrode and the photoelectric conversion layer.
