<p>The method involves directing an X-ray radiation (19) of an X-ray source (15) i.e. robot imager, on an ionization chamber (17) of an ionization detector (11). The chamber is irradiated with the X-ray radiation such that a relative movement between the chamber and the X-ray source is carried-out during irradiation. A signal generated by the X-ray radiation is measured in the chamber to characterize voltage or current such that the signal is evaluated for quality control of the ionization detector. The X-ray radiation is comprised of a beam cone illuminating an entire chamber.</p> |
