<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge, in which the press-contact of an electrostatic latent image carrier such as a photoreceptor drum with an endless belt can be inhibited in shipment and the press-contact can be automatically allowed, when a toner cartridge is attached in installation. <P>SOLUTION: When a drum cartridge 3F is attached to a belt unit 10 in such a state that a lever 30 is arranged in an inhibition position shown by (A), the lever 30 presses a transfer roller 12E downward against the energizing force of a spring 12G, so that the transfer roller 12E is separated from a transfer conveyance belt 12C, not to come into press-contact with a photoreceptor drum 3A. When a developing cartridge 3P is attached to the drum cartridge 3F, the lever 30 is arranged in an allowable position shown by (B), not to disturb the operation of the transfer roller 12E according to the energizing force of the spring 12G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
