<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a reaction member in a pneumatic booster. <P>SOLUTION: The durability of the reaction member can be improved since the amount of deformation of the reaction element is suppressed. A power piston is propelled by operating an input rod with a brake pedal to introduce air into a pressure change chamber with a control valve, so that a primary piston is advanced to make a master cylinder generate brake hydraulic pressure. A portion of repulsion force generated by the hydraulic pressure is transmitted to the input rod via the reaction member. A predetermined (loose) stroke S that does not generate the hydraulic pressure is arranged in the primary piston, and the repulsion force transmitted to a plunger is limited by a repulsion force adjusting spring. In a region of the stroke S, regeneration cooperation control is performed by supplying the hydraulic pressure to a wheel cylinder by a hydraulic pressure control device, and the repulsion force generated by a repulsion spring is imparted to the input rod. By this arrangement, the variation of the hydraulic pressure of the master cylinder caused by the operation of the hydraulic pressure control device is not transmitted to the input rod. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
