<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door closer which can prevent shortening of a lifetime thereof even when a load thereon becomes large. <P>SOLUTION: A sliding door closer includes a spring unit which has a spring chamber accommodating a spiral spring for fixing the base end of a wire and a wire chamber and is accommodated in a housing attached to the sliding door side and a damper unit which gives damper force to a sliding door through a wire, and automatically closes an opened sliding door. A part of a wire wound up when closing the sliding door is accommodated in the wire chamber. A wire pulley for winding up the wire is formed in the wire chamber. The damper unit is composed of a first stage damper unit 6 hanging a wire 4 and a wire-free second stage damper unit 6' engaged with the first stage damper unit 6 by gearwheels 66, 66'. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
