SIGN BASE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sign base with nonflammable property capable of preventing the breakage near a fixing part.

SOLUTION: A sign base comprises a first base composed of a fabric that contains a nonflammable inorganic material fiber and a second base composed of a fabric that contains a thermoplastic resin fiber. A peripheral portion of the first base and an edge of the second base are piled and joined at a part or the whole of the periphery of the first base. A method of manufacturing the sign base comprises the steps of: arranging a second base composed of a fabric that contains a thermoplastic resin fiber so as to surround the periphery of a first base composed of a fabric that contains a nonflammable inorganic material fiber; piling a peripheral portion of the first base and an edge of the second base; and subjecting a part or the whole of the piled portion to welder fusion.
