<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of a situation in which residual toner on an intermediate transfer belt is required to be cleaned while maintaining performance for cleaning the residual toner thereon, to reduce cleaning time and to enhance productivity of image formation by an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: In a case where the number of recording media required for remaining image formation in an image formation job is determined to be larger than the number of storage recording sheets to be used in the image formation job of a sheet feeding cassette by a first determining section 106, and the number of recording media required for the remaining image formation is determined to be smaller than the number of storage recording sheets of another applicable sheet feeding cassette by a second determining section 107, a sheet feeding mechanism switching section 108 switches the sheet feeding cassette used to the another applicable sheet feeding cassette, and, after switching-over thereto, a cleaning controller 105 causes a cleaning section 22 to perform cleaning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
