PURPOSE: A terminal playing streaming-serviced encoded content and a play method thereof are provided to enable a media player included in an operating system of the terminal to play content with DRM through a streaming service. CONSTITUTION: A media player(131) plays original content through a streaming service based on a URL(Uniform Resource Locator). A content play control unit receives encoded content of the original content in a streaming mode through an external streaming server(200) to decode the encoded content into the original content and stores the decoded content in a place corresponding to the URL. The content play control unit provides the stored content to the media player.
