<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine optimal reproduction laser power and to implement stable super-resolution reproduction. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical information recording medium reproducing device (10) which reproduces an optical information recording medium configured by laminating a plurality of information recording layers each including a recording mark the length of which is shorter than a resolution limit of an optical system, medium information is read which indicates whether it is a multilayer super-resolution optical information recording medium or not and which is recorded with recording marks of a length longer than the resolution limit of the optical system and when reading an information recording layer which includes the recording mark of a length shorter than the resolution limit of the optical system and is closest to a reproduction laser incident plane on the basis of the medium information, the information recording layer is read with power smaller than the power required for reading the information recording layer farthest from the reproduction laser incident plane, and equal to or more than minimum reproduction laser power satisfying regenerative signal characteristics that the optical information recording medium reproducing device requires. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
