<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel calcium antagonist capable of reducing or preventing various adverse effects with which intracellular calcium ions are associated, and particularly to provide a calcium antagonist capable of being simply obtained and being easily mass-produced. <P>SOLUTION: The calcium antagonist includes at least one compound as an active constituent selected from the group consisting of compounds expressed by formulas (1) to (3), wherein R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>is an alkylidene group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
