<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel capable of coming into sufficient contact with peripheral wirings even in a contact area through a through hole formed in an insulating film, achieving satisfactory contact (conduction) with the peripheral wirings and further preventing the peripheral wirings from corroding even in the case of forming a transparent conductive film by transfer. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel includes a plurality of first transparent conductive patterns extending in a first direction, a plurality of second transparent conductive patterns extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, a plurality of first peripheral wirings electrically connected to the respective first transparent conductive patterns, and a plurality of second peripheral wirings electrically connected to the respective second transparent conductive patterns. The first and second peripheral wirings and the first and second transparent conductive patterns are electrically connected through a U-shaped insulating film with one side opened.
