The drive has an electromotor (1) provided with a drive shaft (2) for driving a left driving wheel (3). Another electromotor (4) is provided with another drive shaft (5) for driving a right driving wheel (6). A switchable coupling (8) e.g. claw pole coupling, connects a third drive shaft (9) i.e. crankshaft, of an internal combustion engine (7) with the drive shafts of the electromotors. A regulation unit (17) regulates drive torques produced by the electromotors, dependant on a driving condition by consideration of a rotational torque produced by the combustion engine with the coupling. The electromotor is designed as a three-phase motor, a permanent or independently excited synchronous machine and asynchronous machine. An independent claim is also included for a motor car.
