An outlet for providing a connection to electric leads in a trunk 6 in or beneath a floor 5 comprises a riser 7, a riser clamp 1 screwed into the riser 7, a spigot 11 screwed into the riser 7, floor cover engaging means 17 beneath a head 12 of the spigot 11, a casing 19 mounted on the head 12, and a connector 27 in the casing 19 for the electric leads 26, 29. The casing 19 is slid on the head 12 and is fastened by screws at 15. The connector may be a terminal block, as shown, for use with telephone leads, or a socket outlet mounted in the cap 21 or in tt e side of the casing 19 for use with the mains supply.
