The tool has a tool element (1) provided with connection elements for detachable connection with a piston (3). A tool element (2) is provided with connection elements for detachable connection with a piston rod (4) of a hydraulic cylinder, where the connection elements are designed as pins. The connection elements apply torque to the piston and piston rod by rotation of the former tool element against the latter tool element, where the torque is sufficient for screwing the piston and the piston rod. An adapter (5) is used for application of the tool for different piston rods. The hydraulic cylinder has a piston diameter of more than 200 millimeters.
