PURPOSE: A method for preparing tetrahydroquinoline compounds using microwave energy is provided to ensure quick reaction and to synthesize high yield tetrahydroquinoline compounds. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a tetrahydroquinoline compound comprises: a step of reacting a cinnamic aldehyde compound in which a cyclized dialkyl amino group is substituted at an ortho site using a solvent under the presence of an amine catalyst(pyrrolidine) and an acid additive(TFA) by microwave energy at 300-200 W through 1,5-hydrogen transfer reaction; and a step of synthesizing a tetrahydroquinoline compound of chemical formula 3.
