The cylinder block 1 and valve plate 4 of a hydraulic reciprocating pump or motor are made by sintering metal powders in dies and subsequently honing the mating surfaces 5, 6 respectively. The surface 7 of the valve plate may also be honed. The cylinder block is made from bronze powder and the valve plate from steel powder which is cemented after sintering.</p> |
