<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system and a control method thereof, efficiently using an image forming device and contributing to power saving, and to provide a remote control program used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A user selects a sleep mode-cancel icon displayed on a desktop of a client terminal 10 before the user leaves for a multifunction machine 20. A terminal control part 11 of the client terminal 10 detects that the sleep mode-cancel icon is selected, and makes an instruction to cancel a sleep mode.
