PURPOSE: A shading light device for a vehicle and a method are provided to prevent the temperature inside the vehicle from rising by blocking sunlight coming into the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A shading light device(100) comprises a liquid panel unit(110), an information supply unit(120), a GPS signal receiving unit(130), a gyro sensor unit(140), and a control unit(150). The liquid panel unit is included in a glass of the vehicle. The information supply unit supplies the information about the time, date, and a map of a region in which the vehicle is operated. The GPS signal receiving unit receives a GPS signal from a satellite. The GPS signal receiving unit supplies the positional information of the vehicle on the map. The gyro sensor unit supplies the moving directional information of the vehicle. The control unit controls a light and darkness area of the liquid panel unit according to the position of sun.
