PURPOSE: A 4 channel black box apparatus and a method thereof are provided to output real time information of POI(Point of Interest) of the location of a black box of a car on the GIS(Geographic Information System) map on a real time basis according to car driving. CONSTITUTION: A 4 channel black box apparatus comprises a car control signal input unit(102), a video encoder(107), an inner memory(112), a flash memory(113), a keypad(114), a G sensor(116), and a LCD display unit(122). The car control signal input unit recognizes driving direction through analyzing communication line of a car ECU and the control signal of a car as external signal. A video encoder encodes analog camera video signal to digital signal through a front camera(108), a left camera(109), a right camera(110), and a rear camera(111). The inner memory is used as a program memory for black box system operation and a system memory. The flash memory memorizes the driving information of the black box system. A Keypad offers system set up and shortcut key. The G sensor inputs the information about impact of vehicle, a brake, and sharp turning by detecting the event of external shock, quick braking, quick start, and sharp turning. The LCD display unit displays the video recorded by the front camera, rear camera, left side camera, right camera of the black box of vehicle by 4 channel. |
