A status displaying method and an apparatus thereof using a Java icon are provided to indicate the status of each Java MIDlet on a MIDlet list when MVM(Multiple Virtual Machine) is executed on a mobile terminal to display Java MIDlets to a user such that the user knows a MIDlet which is currently executed. It is determined whether a menu display instruction is inputted(S302). It is determined whether a plurality of menus includes a menu which is being used according to the menu display instruction. The plurality of menus is displayed as a list and the menu which is being used is separately displayed on the list(S308). The menu display instruction is inputted according to the operation of an operating system when power is on or inputted according to key input of a user. When it is determined whether the plurality of menus includes the menu which is being used, an MVM is executed according to the menu display instruction and activated MIDlets are confirmed(S304,S306). |
